Legislation is already in place for parish councillors to receive an allowance (indeed some do already take it) which can be up to one tenth of the district councillors allowance, plus expenses
Now that the Unitary authority is once again being installed and many district councillors will lose their allowances and expenses, can we expect this legislation to be the accepted thing? Will the number of parishes and hence parish councillors increase?
