ct Now to Save the Pensioners Free
BBC TV Licence for the Over Age 75s
BBC Consultation Ends 12th February
Heres How Dont leave it to someone else.
The Government have guaranteed funding the TV Licence for the over 75s until 2020 and have agreed this will then transfer to the BBC from June 2020 and have been very clear they expect the BBC to continue this concession.
(Gment Under Secretary of state for Culture, Media & Sport on 21st January 2019)

This represents a considerable reduction in the BBCs income (The TV Licence is 150.50pa) and would mean a reduction in the BBC presentation The BBC are not allowed to substantially increase the Regulated Licence Fee to compensate and are currently consulting on options to introduce charging all households and effectively prefer abolishing the over 75s Free TV Licence from June 2020.

There are a number of Campaign Groups supporting pensioners and those over 75 who are regarded as being the most vulnerable and at the frailest period in life. These benefit most from the Free Access and companionship of TV a lot of which is not provided by the BBC network. A 150.50 Fee for many would cause hardship

For those with internet which is the way these consultations take place nowadays and discriminates against the elderly but check with children or grandchildren to submit it for you from the link below

Our recommendation You do not need to complete the whole form this is not necessary - under Option 1 The BBC should be copying the current concession tick the top box 1 the only keep it free box other comments can be added elsewhere.
Remember to complete your age, postcode, gender and Im not a robot box at end

No address is provided for written objections but the Mailing Address for letters is BBC Age-Related TV Licence Consultation
