|nformation as to the use of Isitfair Forum|
While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable United Kingdom, European or International laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
The forum also has an automatic pruning system which means that posts that have not been replied to, viewed, accessed, edited in 90 days are removed from the database. This enables the forum to run smoothly and efficiently with minimum time and maintenance.
By clicking Register below you agree to be bound by these conditions.
A reminder, the forum is not a website (as most still think it is, its a discussion board running on a database), Isitfair has a perffectly good website at www.isitfair.co.uk and this should be a repository for keeping reference material, information, etc. It appears most cant be bothered to visit there.
If you want your posts to remain on the forum you will have to ensure they are used (replyed to...) and not lapsed by the 90 day limit. This is simular to the local shop, bus or post office, you either use it or lose it.
An alternate method would be to post as an announcement or sticky in the forum concerned. (just put sticky or announcement at the top of the post and it will be added as such) Any abuse/misuse of this method ie. making all posts appear this way will not happen.
This procedure is not new it has been in operation on all previous versions of forum software, ie. always been sorted and tidied up to keep things running.
The only other deletions, editing are done at the users request or if a complaint is received. The only people who have access to the software are Christine Mike and myself.
I hope this clears up a few things, and i ask you to remember we are all volunteers who give up time to this.
